WildWizardWare Help

Back

If you need any help with something that is not covered here, you can email Tu Dae at tdae@wildwizardware.com

RECEIVING:
Unpack the WILD WILD Wizard Box to your inventory, by rezzing it on the ground, right-click > open > copy to inventory. If a web page is loaded when you rez the box, just ignore it and copy all of the contents to your inventory. That is caused by the main script that is included in the box. You can put that script into any prim you have as well, and it will load the page when rezzed, or touched.

OPERATION:
You can use the wizard hats, or the script.
To use the hats, just wear and click. A prim is rezzed above the hat and the web page is loaded.
Browse into a category and make selections by clicking on the image of what you want, then hit the "Apply Selections" button.
The in-world prim changes into what you selected.

You should have received a notecard in the box that has your temporary password. The web page will prompt for this password. The WILD WILD Wizard password is separate from the wildwizardware.com main website username and password. If you want to purchase categories from the website, or post in blogs, forums, etc. you can register yourself here on the register page.

If you pick a sculpted prim that has a grey border around the image, you do not have to select anything for texture. Those sculpties have baked textures that are applied automatically.

To use the script, you can just drop it into any prim and touch it to load the webpage.

Most of the sculpties should be set to phantom, especially the terrain, caves, etc. You then install prims to walk on, and make them transparent by using an alpha texture. If you need an alpha texture, just IM Tu Dae, or you can download this alpha texture and upload it into Second Life yourself.

When using the water category, you'll need to drop the water script into the piece and touch it to start. The water script can be found on the scripts page, or if you need a premade script, just IM Tu Dae, and he'll send you the flow script. You may not need any other script for water. If it is flowing sideways, change the texture rotation in the texture tab of the SL editor to 90 or -90. If it's flowing backwards, change the rotation to 180.

You As Creator
See this Video for a quick demo!

  1. Make a copy of the wizard and rename it to something like My Wizard and rez it on the ground. You will not be able to modify the hat if you are wearing it.
  2. Drag the prim out of it's contents, and drop it on the ground.. ignore the blue dialog popup to go to the page.. do not click 'Go to page' or 'Cancel' until you have taken the script out and put it in your inventory.
  3. Drag the script(s) out of the prim and drop them in your inventory.
  4. Create a new object and name it to the exact name of the prim you pulled out of the hat (eg: WildWizardWare Magic Prim, or The Water Wizard - Magic Water Full, or The Rock Wizard - Magic Rock Full, also give the object full permissions
  5. Drag the script(s) from inventory into your new prim you just created.
  6. Take a copy of your prim into inventory.
  7. Open the hat back up and delete the old prim that's inside, and replace it with the new one you created by dragging it out of inventory and dropping in your hat's contents.
  8. Test it! Now every object should have you as creator!!!
  9. If you want to make mega prim versions you should follow this same procedure, replacing the prim with different mega prims that you obtain. But, unless you created the actual mega prim yourself (unlikely), all of the creations will have the name of the original mega prim creator.
